HOW TO FORMAT A FLASH DRIVE WITH DOS
Last time, I posted a tutorial on
how to format flash drive with windows environment l. Today we shall look into how we can format a flash Drive in Dos
Environment. we shall look and take the tutorial bit by bit for people to follow up.

What is Dos
Dos mean Disk Operating System. It
is system software manufacture and program by a man can Tim Peterson. A primary
software programmer. Dos were latter license as a byproduct of Microsoft Corporation
and that is why the name Dos was change to MS-DOS meaning Microsoft Disk
Operating System.
Step to format A Flesh Disk Disk
Drive in Dos Environment.
1.
Insert the Flash Disk Drive in your
computer
2.
Go to my computer
3.
Locate the flash name Either D: or
E: depending on the name the computer assigned to it
4.
Minimize the windows and go back to start button
5.
Click at all Program-Point to
Accessory- and Choose Command prompt on the list of menu that appears.
6.
Type CD\ Enter to change directory
7.
Type Format space the drive name
follows with column and Enter key. Example : Format E: Enter
8.
Press enter to continue
9.
Type Y on the keyboard
10. Wait for minute or second depending on the processing speed
11. After it reaches to 100% the system will give you the drive
analysis
12. Type EXIT and go to my computer and you will see that your drive
has been formatted.
